CAUSE: Environmental Awareness
TAGMA is an NGO dedicated to promoting sustainability in education by developing public schools in a collaborative, eco-conscious way. Each school is built using recyclable materials, sustainable energy generation, innovative water collection and reuse systems, thermal insulation, and local food production. This approach allows students to not only learn but also live out essential, eco-conscious knowledge as part of their everyday lives.
As society rapidly evolves, it presents new opportunities and challenges. Yet, our education system often struggles to keep pace with these changes. In many cases, we are still teaching children about a world that no longer exists, rather than equipping them with the critical knowledge and skills needed to face, sustain, and contribute to the future world they will inherit.
Inspired by TAGMA’s vision, we produced five compelling micro-documentaries, each highlighting a key sustainability principle. Available online and featured in the audiovisual programme Escuela, these films are paired with fact sheets that serve as supplementary educational materials. This initiative has equipped students and educators with practical tools to embrace sustainability, setting a new standard for integrating eco-conscious practices into education.

Renowned North American eco-architect, Michael Reynolds, famous for his Earthship designs, came to Argentina to build a sustainable school with the support of TAGMA and various other organisations and individuals. We spent several months living alongside him, documenting the entire process.
From this, we created a series of videos that explain TAGMA’s core values. Our goal was not only to ensure these principles were clearly understood, but to empower students to apply them—regardless of their school’s specific pedagogy.
Using a narrative structure, we began by outlining the challenges, followed by presenting a solution and its practical application, featuring examples from within the schools themselves.
The campaign, Esclavos Invisibles (Invisible Slaves), portrayed various cases of modern-day slavery. Amplified by MTV, Calle 13, and the global NGO Exit, the films reached millions of young people across Latin America, many of whom had previously believed that slavery ended in the 19th century. This powerful campaign opened their eyes to the reality of contemporary slavery, inspiring greater awareness and action.
